The Airports Corporation of Vietnam (ACV) has recently proposed relocating all international cargo transport operations from Tan Son Nhat International Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) to Long Thanh International Airport (Dong Nai). In addition, Long Thanh is designed with fully integrated multimodal connections, including the Long Thanh–Dau Giay Expressway, the Bien Hoa–Vung Tau Expressway, major international seaports such as Cai Mep–Thi Vai and Phuoc An, and in the future, a high-speed railway line. These connections will significantly shorten transit times, reduce logistics costs, and facilitate cargo transshipment to major markets such as Europe, the Americas, and Northeast Asia.
