Vietjet Breaks Ground on Aircraft Maintenance Technical Center at Long Thành – A New Milestone for Vietnam’s Aviation Industry

On August 19, 2025, Vietjet officially commenced construction of its Aircraft Maintenance Technical Center at Long Thanh International Airport. This is one of 80 key projects launched and inaugurated to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (1945–2025), while also marking a significant development milestone for Vietjet and Vietnam’s aviation industry.

Key Project at Long Thanh

The groundbreaking ceremony was held solemnly with the presence of General Secretary To Lam, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, along with leaders of the Party, State, ministries, local authorities, and domestic and international partners.

Mr. Dinh Viet Phuong delivered a speech announcing the commencement of the Aircraft Maintenance Technical Center at Long Thanh.

With a total investment of nearly USD 100 million (over VND 1,700 billion), the project includes Hangars 3 and 4 at Long Thanh, capable of servicing up to 10 aircraft simultaneously, meeting international technical standards. This will be a modern maintenance center, not only serving Vietjet’s expanding fleet but also providing services to domestic and international airlines.
